What we do
We read the public data almost nobody reads (building permits, planning agendas, utility and CSLB notices) and turn it into useful information for contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and people in the field.

- Data from official sources. Every figure comes from a public source, cited in the issue.
- In our own words. We summarize and link to the source; we don’t copy other outlets’ articles.
- Contractor of the Week is never for sale. It’s picked by permit activity, not a quality rating.
- Sponsored content is labeled “Sponsored”.
- AI-generated illustrations are labeled as such.
- We don’t publish private homeowners’ names.
